Colorise / digital painting of an old historic photo.

1. This new colorised digital photo/painting should be at TWILIGHT, with dark blue sky, overall nighttime look.

2. Try to make this new digital image a photo-realistic NIGHT image, as this will be used in a movie as an establishing shot.

3. Please add illumination/lights in some of the building windows for a realistic night-time look. Basically the master photo was taken in the daytime, but to make it a nighttime photo, we need to add illumination to some of the building areas.

4. Make sure to reference the PDF provided to this contest, as it provides important details you will find useful for guidance for your digital work.

5. The final digital image size is to be 3840 X 2160 pixels in RGB color. The final delivery of the digital image would be a PNG file and a Photoshop file with layers. Attached to this contest is a historic Black & White master photo that you will use for this job. Make sure to work with this master image, as it is already setup at the correct resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels.

Important note: Some entries have changed the distant hills seen in the master photo. Please do not add or change the basic position, scale of hills, or adding additional hill/land features. For people in Hong Kong, they know the look of the hills and if mountains/hills are added then the scene will not look realistic to the Hong Kong audience.

Take a look at the guidelines shown in the PDF. On the top of the page you see an example of a black & white photo that has been converted into a colorized, night digital painting/image. Look at the quality and realism of that color image. That's the level of quality needed for this contest.
