Avoid Generic Logo designs - You need to get your creative juices flowing!!! Avoid http://www.gtgraphics.org/genericlogos.html style designs, your design will be rejected.

Looking for a new fresh logo for a precious metal refining & bullion store. We are currently in the process of re-designing the site and will be loosely basing the design / theme of the site on the massive themeforest theme.

An example page from the HTML theme can be found here: http://massive.markup.themebucket.net/about-us-2.html see screenshot attached if the link doesn't work.

So from the screenshot, the logo needs to be pretty simple, clean, look good on both black and white background.

For some inspiration / design ideas to start with:
Possibly contain gold highlights #d6b161
gold bars / coins / some kind of investment chart or something related to the value of precious metals increasing
Possibly something to do with Gold / Silver / Platinum.
Maybe molten metal or pouring gold into an ingot mould https://riosuerte.files.wordpress.com/2013/03/1melting.jpg.
Would the logo look good embossed on a Gold Bar? http://www.bullionkings.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/11/PAMP_10Oz_Gold_Bar.png

Entries should show examples of logo on a few different background types. e.g. black background, white background. e.g. When sending an invoice, I would need to put that logo on the invoice, so would need to look good on a B&W printer!

Winner would be required to supply the PSD / AI / Vector files, as well as transparent PNG etc.

Logo would need to include either text "Goldealers" or "Goldealers Ltd", or the text would need to look good if placed next to the logo.

Because this is a sealed contest, no one can point anyone out for copying/ recycling/ plagiarizing (which the CH might miss), that is until the winning entry shows once that entry has won. But by then it is already too late.. unless the CH disputes it after the fact. Good Luck!
