I would like to hire an Industrial Designer to help design a new urban pollution mask for cyclists

I'm looking for some design concepts for a new Air Pollution mask for casual cyclists, motorcyclists, runners and general members of the public that live within cities. The current selection available on the market (Respro, Vogmask, Totobobo, Wair) are lacking in various areas including aesthetics, comfort, materials used, costs and I believe there could be a better solution which would encourage more people to protect their lungs from city air during their commute.
The key areas of consideration that I'd like to be included in the project are:

- Materials - As environmentally friendly as possible. However, they need to primarily focus on it being a piece of apparel that will be used during exercise throughout the year in various cites.
- Simply, effective attachment system - My tests on existing products has made me think that a velcro system (a la Respro) works best for ease of putting the mask on and also provides for a variety of sized customers. However, I am open to any other suggestions of how this may work.
- Fit - In order to be effective the nose and mouth need to be fully covered with a snug / flush fit around a range of face sizes.
- Colour - the design should lend itself to be easily customisable be it with colour or a logo
- Breathing Filters - should be easily removable as they will need to be replaced every so often. If there is a way to have these embedded in the material and therefore washable that would be ideal as to save any excess material waste.
- General look - I am open to ALL ideas. However, my initial thinking is that a bandit style look (like snowboarders use) is more appealing to people that casually cycle or ride motorbikes that the "Mortal Combat" style used by hardcore lycra-clad cyclists.
- Simple - In order to get more people using this it needs to be as straight forward & self-explanatory to use as possible.

Key factors:
- Warm for winter, cool for summer - adjustable?
- Comfortable fit whilst allowing user to breath naturally
- Effective - cut out pollutants
- Size - one size fits all
- Environmental awareness as the heart of materials & manufacture
- Doesn't disrupt the person wearing a crash helmet

I'm happy to answer any questions that come up surrounding this so please get in touch to ask. Completely off-piste / out of the box ideas will also be well received as long as they meet the key objectives of this idea. Sketching rather than full digital design will be perfectly satisfactory.
