Requirements to design a smart car roof top display assembly unit (Mechanical / product design) NOT the electronics side of it.

The end result is a video showing the design of this rack and how it performs different tasks. Also all your drawings and files exclusively available to me. I should be able to use your design documents and use it to create a prototype and if that goes well, use these designs to give to contract manufactures to start commercial production.

Please review the attached requirements doc to get more details, some pictures and videos explaining the requirements.

Update: I forgot to mention the size of the display. A couple of contesters have asked this on my skype. So I thought I will update it here. 18 inches height X 30 inches width. The design is for a universal smart rack display system meaning, one should fit all car tops.

my Entry has 6 pics between which you can navigate with the bottom left arrows
It has minimal design and the mechanical part is made to be as simple as possible both for assembly and making.

Does it have to be compatible with the Yakima roof rack (from the youtube video example) or to use a similar way of locking as the ones on the example ? The yakima roof rack seems to negate the need for additional designs for the built in roof racks and we can focus on just something compatible with it and work on the screen holders .

  Except the cross bars, we can use Yakima or any other roof rack manufactures module that is attached to the car. But on that, we need to have our own custom cross bars with screen holders. Hope that makes sense. Thanks.
