We have many paints, both semi-gloss (the semi-gloss are flat colors) and metallic (the metallics have a texture). We need to be able to apply these to many different moldings while retaining the shape of the wood molding, but removing the wood-grain as it will be primed so it will lose the texture.

In short, take the 2 paint samples here, apply them to this raw wood, and lose the wood grain. The shape must be clearly identifiable and exact to the raw wood sample we give here.

In the end, we need you to show us how you did it (what software, etc) so that we can replicate it many times in our project. This is a requirement to win the contest. The contest is sealed so when you put your steps to replicate, other users will not be able to see your technique.

Finally, you MAY NOT redesign the molding manually in a rendering software, because it will NOT be an exact match. If you have an automated way to rerender it, that is acceptable.

**NOTE.. we have included a fourth image which is a close up of an L Corner sample to give you a close up view of the molding (shape) detail***

Thank you for all the submissions. We have analyzed all of them. We have 4 finalists. Please note that the majority of submissions were rejected due to the following:

1. The vast majority of submission DID NOT remove the wood grain as required in the contest documentation

2. On many submissions the curvatures in the original frame were lost and the slopes appeared to be flat in the newly rendered images

3. In many of the new renderings, important shape details from the original were lost

4. Many people did not include instructions as required and on a few the metallic texture was applied incorrectly and did not resemble the color swatch we sent over.

Its not an easy task ....ummm....without re-creating the mono color molding because its nearly impossible to remove the grain and keep the shadows and lights intact that define the shapes of moldings to overlap specific colors. I am also interested in this contest results.

Hi, In your description its not mentioned what you exactly looking for. You attached two wooden frame sample one solid color image and one small size grain image. So you want me to apply the solid color on the wooden sample to match your solid color sample or what. what size it will be. its for print media or web content to showcase on any site. please provide clear description to understand
