Hello, i have big experience working with rest-api. I will use Robospice (it's robust library for rest request). I will use fragments instead of activity. It will make app very smooth. Code will be commented and sctructured with follofing OOP principles. My timezone is GMT +2. It's great that you decided to user android > 4.1 it gives possibility to follow material design guidelines and make app looking great ob both version 4.0 and 5.0.
