Pixel Art Sprites for an Indie Game

I am the developer of Liminality: Brawl, a top-down brawler for the browser that uses HTML5 to pit player against player in an action-packed zone-control style game. The project is designed as a prototype for a much grander design, wherein the player finds themselves lost in the story-centric and puzzling adventure of the outlandish, fantastical and time-dilated city of Dawnton. The premise of Brawl is to setup and demonstrate the capability of a working engine I have developed for Liminality, all the while creating a fun and engaging PvP experience in the meantime. All assets are intended to be carried over to the main game once the core functionality has been finalized. The player can choose from four distinct characters, each replete with their own quirks, idiosyncrasies, a vivacious personality and a deep core drive. The designed mechanics of each character have been meticulously designed so as to break from the banality that playstyle archetypes (e.g. ranger, rogue, warrior) often bring, and instead inject a breath of fresh air into the retro gaming scene. In keeping with this theme, submissions must be creative and fresh. Please refer to the attached Artistic Vision document for further detail. The perspective is 2D top-down orthographical. Project Specifications * The four playable characters - Iro, Gaston, Elise and Prof. Barnes - require three sprites each, an up, a down, and a side. 12 images in total. * Each image must portray the character in their idle, relaxed state. * Each sprite within 20 x 30 px. * Unlimited colour palette. Time frame less important than the quality of the art and open communication. As this is only scratching the surface on the amount of art needed for this project, successful applicants will also have the chance to get involved in the project at large.
