Direct more traffic to a new phpBB website

Coder will use creative means to direct more traffic to a phpBB website. This will include listing the site in relevant search engines, web rings, and other places where its presence can be found. The website's subject is e-commerce. Since it is not commercial in nature and its subject overlaps that of highly commercial "make money fast" websites, I am having trouble raising its visibility to a point where it can become operational. Thus I seek the help of an experienced person. Coder will keep their efforts above-board and not resort to spam or posting false information (including shilling).
