Application to Track Task Progress and Reporting

A specialist Task Tracking Application with basic reporting capabilities. (The Project I have in mind is a checklist of Savings Ideas and keeping track of the progression of these ideas and tracking how much savings each item has generated.) I am not a programmer and have no idea of programming, hence please bear with me and please correct me if my description is not clear enough. • This will be run as a desktop Application. • Language Visual Basic or C++ • Operating environment – PC based • Licencing to be implemented using [login to view URL] software installer. The licence will be valid for 365 days. This validity period should be changeable. • Ability to input up to 500 tasks. These will be captured in the Application from a Data Table which will have 100 pre defined tasks + another 400 that can be added by the user. • The contents in the Default Data Table should be changeable • For the look and feel of the Application the Tasks should be able to be grouped. • Search and Find function to locate a Task name • Each Task to be assigned a Unique 4 digit number. • The description of the Task can be alpha numeric • The Task Tracking will have following input fields: Household Name – Alphanumeric Project Name – Default to “Savings Project” Tasks Selected (with a tick box) for implementation % completed – numeric only Notes field for each task – alpha numeric Savings – numeric with no decimals Date Started – Date format Month/Year Date Completed - Date format Month/Year. When a task is input as 100% complete it will default to the calendar date on the PC. (if the current date is earlier than the Start Date then use the Start Date (month/year) for input • Calculated Fields: % Not Completed Savings by task by month/year only (not required for dates ) • Reports: Task Progress Summary – Listing of tasks, % completed, Savings recorded Incomplete Task Report Completed Task Report Monthly Savings report – Ability to select a range of dates (month/Year only)
