Customize Epson R220 Software Drivers

I am running locked down kiosk mode laptops for my business, using Epson Photo Stylus R220 Printers. The driver software has code written into the program, which reconizes any new cartridge as not being a genuwine Epson cart. (I am using compatiable ink cartidges, which work fine) except that the sotware pops up a confirmation box, which if you select 'NO' to the answer, rejects the new ink cart.

My problem, is that within the locked down kiosk, should any of my staff click away from the popped up box, it then is hidden and trapped behind my locked down Browser, and effectively disables the printer until the pop up box is answered.

I have the software drivers, which need customizing, I'm running windows XP home on all machines.

I have also attached a picture of what pops up when changing an ink cartridge.

With regard to the budget I have set on this work, frankly I have no idea of how long or short a job like this is. Therefore, if the budget is too low and for example it's a 5 hour job and you charge $50 an hour, by all means, contact me and explain and quote based on what is a reasonable figure.
