I need freelancer that is comfortable or have experience using with Bluetooth in embedded system. Here is a very quick description of the project: It involves a micro controller (preferably atmega 328 because I have using arduino UNO) and a Bluetooth module use in order to detect how close is a paired device X (this could be phone …). The system will turn an LED On or Off based on how close the paired device X get. It does not have to be super accurate at all. For example, as long as the system recognizes that device X is within to 2m to 4m from the Bluetooth turn an led on. If the system notices that device x is about further away or more than 4m, turn led off. This project should take No more 2 weeks!!! I will work out the timeline and details later

Greetings. My name is Jeremy Trammell and I represent a group of developers and designers in Portland, Oregon. We have extensive experience with the Arduino platform and would be happy to assist you with your attempt to determine proximity via BlueTooth signal. Since BlueTooth is not designed as a "proximity sensor", I'm not sure how satisfied you will be with the end result, but by tracking the RSSI decibels in theory you will see a relative change with distance from the transmitter (i.e., a certain signal strength will not always mean the same distance, but at any given moment in time a lower signal strength will indicate an increasing distance relative to the previous reading). Will you be providing the hardware, or should we add the purchase price of the hardware to our bid?
