We are an IT support company with a set of clients that now require Internet kiosks at their premises.
The kiosks provide their staff and customers with internet access for £1 per 15 mins.
At the moment we have a cheap coin accepter accompanied with software that accepts payment and allows the customer to browse the web.
We are looking for a better system so we can roll this out to 50 sites.
Initially we require the software to:
• The software to act as a browser or have an integrated browser and only allow browsing when payment has been received.
• The software to communicate with the coin accepter for payment, and reflect this in the users browsing time
• To be developed for a windows 7 (pro) environment
• An email feature that alerts us daily on the takings of the machine.
Advanced developments will be required at a later stage.
We have the coin accepter (NRI G13 USB) and all drivers & .net files.
Once the initial meeting is over, we can communicate over the web. We have several of the coin accepters so, you can send us updates and we can test on our site then send over changes.
We have previously had a platform developed and from that I would estimate this would be around 30 / 60 hours work initially.
Thank you!
I've did this kind of project already for a gambling company. It was even more complex that simple browsing and it was done in WPF. I can send you screenshots if you like. I haven't done anything with that specific coin accepter but I've done serial communicating between C# app and custom made USB interfaces with PIC MCUs. And I could do it for even less money than your minimum bid, but system doesn't allow this.
