i have cubieboard (CB3) where Ubuntu/Lbuntu OS is used. one PIR sensor would detect person then it would activate web camera or USB logitech camera to capture video for 30 secs. then that video would transfer to any email. All coding must be in c++ or any other programming language.

Hello, I have been programming in Python for many years and I've used it for many types of projects. For this project I would build a Python application that regularly checks the GPIO port connected to the PIR sensor and starts record video from the USB webcam (probably using standard tools like ffmpeg or mencoder). Sending the email would also be done by the Python application (using the builtin libraries). I don't have experience with cubieboard but I do have experience with Raspberry PI (home automation, server hosting, video surveillance, motor control). Hi, that's an interesting project you've got. Also, your price tag is way too high, I'll take this project for, say, $70. So, I have everything I need right there: a similar single board computer and a bunch of electronic components. I played with "DIY surveillance" systems so I could offer you some extra features if you're interested: tons of configuration options, or maybe a live web-server or something crazy if you want it. I'm quite enthusiastic about your project TBH, it would be a lot of fun for me. Feel free to ask for a demo.
