calibrate robot arm x axis

I'm trying to calibrate this robot arm the the y axis seems fine. The arm is programmed with arduino and it moves by sending G code so a command like this G1 X0 Y20 will move straight in Y axis direction, but if I send G1 X20 Y0 it moves the arm to a location like X10 Y10 or something like it.
