We need a contract written for our custom web based software development business. I would assume a starting point would be a standard software development contract, tailored to suit our business.
As an overview:
We have certain ways of operating such as our SLA on support enquiries, a money back guarantee at a certain point and allow our clients to pay with a payment plan. Our hosting company technically stores all the data but the client engages us, and therefore trusts us with their data. Our clients pay a monthly fee for hosting, backups and support. The client 100% owns all or certain parts of their system once their payment plan is completed.
Attached is an example of what we're using at the moment. It contains specifics about a job but would like these terms to be general purpose.
I'd like to have a discussion about our business on chat or email interview for you to ascertain potential gaps in our contract and help us cover ourselves legally. I'm perfectly fine with you using what we have as a starting point if it is of any use.
