Dear Nickdammit,
Ah, a perfect match, perchance?
As a senior journalist for many years, when I'm not writing or editing, I am to be found buried in a broadsheet cryptic crossword with furrowed brow and quill.
I devise cryptic clues all the time purely for my own amusement (yes, I should dust off my petticoats and get out more).
I've also read most Austen novels (and other 19th c. writers such as Dickens) so I am familiar with both the language and the lifestyle of that period, if you want that incorporated into the script.
And just yesterday I finished a book commission, therefore I am ready to work like a housemaid for 2 days in your service.
So please throw your gloves at the competitors and wave your handkerchief at me. You will not be disappointed, Sir.
Yours truly,
Julietgn
