Hello Freelancer,
currently I am working on my Master Thesis in my Master of Finance. I want to answer the question, whether Private Equity creates value. For this reason, I planned to analyze the performance of companies listed on stock exchange, comparing non-pe backed and pe-backed companies. (How the performance developed over time after the IPO).
The problem is that I do not have access to the SDC Platinium of Thomson Retuers, where I could find such data. Therefore, I am looking for a freelancer, who is able to download this data and to prepare it for me in excel. The data set should enable me to establish a whole analysis on this topic for different timeframes. It should cover more than 10 years (after 2000). As it is difficult to really narrow it down, the freelancer can use an appropriate structure.
I am also open to any suggestion, which have already be done for another project. I hope you understand my problem, and can help me. For sure, you can use other databases, if you think they fit in the supposed manner.
