I am designing a small scale diesel-electric submersible as a recreational vehicle. I have drawings, designs, and a good idea of how I'd like to construct; however, I need help figuring out the powertrain. I am looking for an electrical engineer, a naval architect, or anybody else who could either help me understand how everything works or put together a specific list of components that I would need.
