I have gone through your description and the attached files and I think that I can write up a program that shall efficiently meet your requirements.
All of my completed works here in freelancer were related to using VBA to write macros that manipulate data in various ways and manners. So far in all cases my clients were happy with the service I provided them. I use VBA to cleanse spreadsheets, format data (based on logics) and even move them over sheets, workbooks or even office applications.
I have seen the files you attached. Automated opening , copying, saving and closing of files is not a problem at all. And since the files shall reside in the same folder, not much participation from the user shall be needed.
I have a few questions. Firstly I need to know if the data shall be 'appended' after the existing records, or if the existing records need to be deleted first.
For example, the selection tab of [login to view URL] file has data up to row 10 (in columns M, N, O and P), so when, after matching the current date, I take data from the appropriate tab of the ratings file, shall I start pasting them starting from row 11?
I guess the data from the 'Race' column go into the "Meeting" column. I need to know , what if the re are no data? Shall I put 0:00 inthose cases?
