My name is Maru Delgado and I love languages and literature. I have been part of several literary groups in the last 7 years. My most rewarding experience of these has been my membership of the independent publishing group Dragostea where I worked translating manifests and poems by Valerie Solanas, Sylvia Plath, Renée Vivien and Dickinson, amongst others. I also established two literary groups of my own- Domo de Paja and Marcapasos- , where I published an art magazine called Fosa Comun and edited several poets from my hometown. I also published two poetry pamphlets: En Utero (which was translated into English) and El Autoeclipse del Espejo. I am a member of several poetry networks and have been published in several magazines and blogs, including Peru’s most important poetry site Urbanotopia under the name Maru Delgado. I was part of the organisation committee of the International Book Fair in Arequipa, Peru where I gave presentations about feminine poetry and Latin American authorship topics. I have also spoken on in Lima, Bolivia and Chile. I am an active member of the Australian magazine Powder, for which I used to write literary and political essays, articles and poems dail, and I also continue to add to my personal anthology of poetry which will be formally published in the near future. I think I have what it takes to be the writer you are looking for.
