Hey Jordanne! Thanks for checking out my bid.
I'm an e-Learning author from Canada, living in Vancouver. I'd like to talk more about what your objectives are for training and what kind of content you expect to use.
Here's how I work:
First, we talk so I understand what you want to achieve. I'll ask a lot of questions about the learners, gap analysis, project constraints etc. We'll toss around some solution ideas and collaborate on the design. This phase usually takes a few meetings, so I'd give it about a week of elapsed time to reach the ah-ha point. We'll come out with a project plan, a good understanding of scope, and an estimated timeline and budget.
Next, I layout the course flow, including any assessment points and interactions. I show you this for your feedback (and because I'm an approval-seeker.) At this stage, we'll also look at some media options, characters, sounds--nuts & bolts--so I can start pulling that stuff together.
Next comes the hard part (usually): scripting the message. The story you have to tell is what's most important here, and this is usually the longest phase.
Remember those nuts & bolts? Now we place them into the outline, add the text and record an optional voiceover, to tell a compelling, unified story.
We test with a real audience and adjust, before packaging the course for delivery.
I would love to collaborate with you. I will be available 30 hr./week. I use the Freelancer desktop app and provide detailed invoices.
Cheers,
- Rick
