Design a Logo for a Start-up

We are in process of setting up a new business. We are called Aevintyr Ltd and we are looking for a logo as well as stationery design (including letters and business cards). Our name is based on the word ‘aevintyri’ which means an adventure or a fairy tale in Icelandic (“ævintýri”). Our services include webpage plugins and on-demand manufacturing. Online solutions are developed to be ideal for end users as well as businesses subscribing to our services. Current products available for on-demand manufacturing include unique niche wooden jigsaw puzzles. Future products (roughly in 2 years) will also include peripheral hardware for entertainment industry and computer enthusiasts. We plan to have both b2b and b2c customers. Our business clients are owners of small to medium sized websites. These websites might be targeting people of any age or any ethnicity. We do not have any preferences in terms of geographical location of our business customers. However, we will be first focusing on Europe (starting with the UK), then North America and the rest of the world after that. Our consumer clients are likely to be 18 to 30 years old students or young professionals. In additions, it will match anyone who like collecting unusual pieces of art. Consumer customers are likely to have one or more of the following interests: non-mainstream art, electronics and gadgets, video games, sci-fi, fantasy, etc. We believe to be gender independent as we have products for both males and females. Our goods will be sold through online store. We would also have schemes to buy from us in bulk for further redistribution. Our physical goods will be having our logo printed on them. Our business solutions do not have direct competitors. However, our on-demand manufactured goods are in direct competition with online gift sellers and art platforms such as DeviantArt. Our selling points include the uniqueness of what we offer as it has not yet been explored by the wider market. We would like our customers to associate with as many as possible of the following terms with our brand: urban, calm, gentle, global, natural, high-tech, friendly, caring, adventurous, quality, different, respectful, young, new, and idealistic. We would like our logo to appear expensive and modern. It will be displayed on the internet websites, product packaging, merchandising and stationeries. We would like potential bidders to include in their proposals sketches as well as brief description why they believe that their work is consistent with our business description and satisfies our needs. Please also include brand usage guidelines in your proposal. We would like to see our logo in dark and light version. We will be reviewing submissions on a daily basis and will be providing our feedback regularly. In addition, if you have any questions about the requirements, please feel free to ask.
