Add advertising capability to my Wordpress blog

I have many image ads that I would like to post on my Wordpress website that are usually 4.9 inches x 3.1 inches, but can sometimes be larger or smaller. I would like to place the ads underneath posts and on the right sidebar. I need to have a plugin or widget installed in order to so this. I have tried a few without much success. I need (1) the right plugin to be installed and (2) eight image ads uploaded, and (3) the person need to show me how to use it. I am not sure if the ad sizes will need to be altered in order to look good.
