So here's the deal,
Myself and a friend/colleague of mine are into fashion in a big way. We spend every spare minute we can find trolling the internet for new drops, unique cuts and just things that stand out in a sea of similarity and cliché.
Admittedly its a little egotistical of us to think that we might make a change but regardless we have a huge, shared desire to get our ideas out there and bring them into reality as clothes. We want to take everything that we feel is lacking as well as all the good things we see going on and design clothes based on that. Our aim is to target the niche (people like ourselves who look for quality, cut and individuality) - a practice that has become hugely viable since more targeted advertising and global communities have become commonplace. We know for a fact that like minded people ARE there and that they will form an audience that is more than ready for what we have to offer.
The problem we face is a lack of technical training when it comes to all things paper-based and technical. That is to say neither of us is particularly effective at croquis drawing, dimensions of the human body or pattern making. That's where freelancer comes in in putting us in touch with teh creatives out there with the know-how to make our ideas come alive.
So what we'd want from you is a line of communication whereby we can communicate very clearly and with basic sketches and references what we envisage and you can use your skills and the details we provide to allow us to take these ideas from our heads right through to an awaiting market. We would need relatively frequent communication as adjustments and changes would be essential to fully realising our ideal designs.
