Build A Simple Desktop Application (Windows and MAC) with HTML5 & JS

Create a simple application with HTML5 as a native desktop application that is cross platform (Windows & MAC). Application is to show a step by step flow chart of a business engagement, where each step can be expanded to entry more information. Total will only be about 8-15 steps. The application should as be able to open up other files (MS Excel/Powerpoint/Word) from the repository (placed within the same folder as the HTML file) and should also be able to edit certain field of those documents (e.g. the Title of the document or certain logo) based on the entry of the user prior opening up the document from the HTML5 application. The application should also be able to save the progress of the user entry as a "profile" which can be saved. Hence the application should be able to have multiple saved profile (or project). The saved profile can be opened the next time the user opened up the application, or it can also be exported and be opened up in the application running on different machine. Those are the requirements for this basic application as phase 1. If the result is great, there will be further project to improve the application and make it more complex. There will be heavy requirement in making the look and feel of the application looks great. Hence the freelance must have the skill set and the manpower to develop the required graphic assets and animation within the HTML5 application. Interested and shortlisted freelancer should submit a simple HTML5 application that show a simple "Hello World" with nice graphic and basic animation. This is for us to qualify that you have the actual skill set and also your graphic design capability. The project needs to be finished in the next 3-4 weeks (have to finish before christmas). So chosen freelance will need to be able to provide daily update (only during weekday) throughout this period of the project. Payment of the project will be divided into 3 separate milestones.
