I need a design for a t-shirt this shirt can be categorized as: Christian American Patriotism. The concept for this design comes from a familiar bible passage Isaiah 53:5, "But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. The main idea for this design concept comes from the last 6 words of the verse, "with his stripes we are healed" The term "stripes" in this verse is referencing the wounds on the beaten and whipped body of Jesus Christ. The scripture verse means that all people have a way to become spiritually healed through salvation because of the sacrifice that Jesus made by his life, death, and resurecton. The American patriot aspect of this design is brought in by utilizing the idea of the healing "stripes" of Jesus being the vehicle for healing, for the "stars and stripes" of the American flag which is representative of the United States of America as a nation. The design itself should predominately display some kind of artistic redndering of the American flag with a subtle image depicting symbols of Jesus i.e. crown of thorns, cross, etc. My goal in this design is to offer a quality design and shirt that crosses cultural barriers, meaning that their are many "Christian" t shirts on the market already that have a hard edge, hardcore, dark, punk rock, design influence. The phrase, "with his stripes we are healed" should be prominently displayed somewhere in the design. This shirt should have a quality design element to it, its not intended to be just a "novelty Christian shirt", I would like the design to make a fashionable piece of clothing.
