TRY ME!! My approach to the job will be; Keywords research: The first and the most important thing is keywords research. So I will undergo an in-depth keywords research to cull out the best keywords related to the app/game. The is how I will prepare the first list; - What comes to the mind - Pair the words - Use online tools - Analyze the market trends - Analyze the description - Pull up the keywords used by competitors Now, since we can not insert all the keywords in the title, description and keywords tag. I will sort the keywords basis following parameter: - Traffic - Difficulty - Relevancy - Length And once the keywords are finalized, we can move forward with the optimization. Also I will keep the list saved for future consideration, if the selected keywords do not perform well. Optimization: - Add a compelling title (20-25 characters for iPhone and 70 characters for iPad) - Add an informative and engaging description with optimum use of keywords - Add the selected keywords in keywords field (without wasting any space, since Apple allows only 100 characters) - Adding the app icon, category and screen shots. Maintenance/Followup: This is the most important aspect of App store optimization, reason being: - Apple changes its algorithm frequently - Apple do not considers the keywords, which are not relevant to the application according to apple.
