i have a server where tomcat and apache is running. when i make dns entries for my domains i am getting 500 internal server error The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request. there is some misconfiguration: my websites are in: localhost:8080/site1 localhost:8080/site2 localhost:8080/site3 what i did: apt-get install libapache2-mod-jk configure file [login to view URL] restart tomcat and apache2 i missed something, pls let me know what. i want the sites to be routed over port 80. so my customers never get any firewall problems. i already had this problem before.

I am working daily with this kind of setup: Tomcat behind an Apache frontend using mod_jk. I know it's working and that it should mostly be some kind of configuration issue. Of course I would need access to the server to troubleshoot this issue. Is that OK?

Hello. I believe, error 500 here means that there is something wrong with the Web Application. Check the Tomcat Log file .
