Hi, I would write a small java application, which parses the tree (as an input from file), and checks if the tree is a balanced binary tree (AVL tree) or not. It is not difficult and in java the code is portable and easy to read and understand. I will focus on creating talkative and self-descripting code with tests to prove correctness.
