I am having difficulty installing a Kinect sensor on an Ubuntu Virtual Machine. I am looking for a Service Provider who can install and test this setup on an Ubuntu VM, and tell me the exact steps to get it running. I am using Lubuntu 14.04/ Ubuntu 14.04 Background Links You can find a pre-built Ubuntu VM here: [login to view URL] You can find the basic instructions for installing the Kinect sensor here: [login to view URL] /here: [login to view URL] When I attempt to run the samples I get errors like “audio node is not available” Deliverable: 1 VM Ubuntu / lubuntu vm with the following packages installed and tested: Openni Avin2 Nite If you have experience with Ubuntu and VMs, this should be an easy task. You must have access to a Kinect to verify the Kinect functions with this VM. I must verify the Kinect works on my end before I will release any funds. If you are qualified for this task please submit a bid. Highlight your previous work with Ubuntu and configuring VMs. (I need a few more of VMs setup)

I have 10 years experience as a system administrator / architect for a large managed hosting / cloud hosting service provider with the majority of that time as a linux engineer. I have not worked with the kinect driver you speak of, but I am building a VM as we speak to test. i suspect this to be fairly straight forward and I can provide a step by step document or video detailing the steps. Hello, I am a computer science major, a lot of my work is with setting up VM. I usually work with virtual, but I really can work with any system. I have recently installed ubuntu on a virtual machine to be able to work with gem5, a CPU simulator. I ended up cloning the machine to have it distributed on many other systems. Just tell me the specification: RAM size and hard drive capacity and I will do it. Hire me and you will not regret it.
