A spherical electrode is used to apply radiofrequency currents to a tissue. The radius of the electrode is 0.75 mm. The outer surface of the electrode has a voltage V =30 volts and a temperature Ti=37 C. Far from the electrode (ro = 0.1 m) the voltage is zero and the temperature of the tissue is To=37◦C. Neglect blood perfusion and metabolic heat generation and obtain an expression for the temperature profile within the tissue, T(r) for ri ≤ r ≤ ro.
The tissue goes from 0.75 mm to 10 mm thick and has tissue tissue thermal conductivity is k = 1.0 W/m·K and electrical conductivity σ = 0.366 S/m.
Plot your temperature profile using matlab.
