We need a dictionary app. All the senses are in a MySQL database.

However, the idea is that the application will available in two versions. It would be a smaller version, in which the dictionary would be used online (definitions would be on our server) and also an offline version, in which the database with definitions would be installed along with the application, so that the user could obtain the meaning of words even without being connected to the internet (we know that this will result in a large application, but is a frequent request of users).

Basic requirements of the app in both versions:

1) The user types a Word and the app looks for the meaning. If there is a word in the database, it displays the meaning. If not, displays list of similar words. 2) The user can browse the dictionary alphabetically (for example: the app displays links from a to z and, by clicking on a letter, the app displays a list of words that begin with that letter (paginated list, of course).

3) Some basic custom settings, such as: the user can change the text size, the color of the text and, the background color (maybe some templates).

4) Spaces for ads.

Note: we have a table with all the words and another with the meanings. The meanings have xml formatting.

So that it's not complicated at all for those who have experience in developing apps.
