Hello. I am the creator of a simple 2 screen iOS app and I am now looking at porting it to Android. As a result, this is not really a "start from scratch" project, since I can help you the entire way and provide all graphical assets. In fact, since I am a coder myself, you don't even have to do everything "perfectly". A (working), skeleton of the app's functionality with placeholder graphics is enough and I can edit the rest.
Skills the app requires:
- Getting the user's position through the phone's gps chip. (ultra simple for someone who knows how to do that thing).
- A google maps view (ultra simple), with a search function that use's google's place auto-complete api, present result suggestions as the user types. This is literally the most complicated bit of the app so if you can do that, you practically have money in your pocket already.

- Rotating a graphic on screen according to a variable. Again, ultra-simple for someone who knows how to do this.
- Ads integration, with an option to pay to remove them.
- An android widget, connecting with all of the above.
As you may be guessing, the app is essentially a compass + location searching. No logins, no databases, nadda. Just a single important mathematical calculations someplace which I will be handing you myself (!), and simple strings and variables all over the place.
