The project is to create a mobile media player (mmp) for a bus where passengers can stream movies/music to their mobile device from the mmp via Wi-Fi connection to the mmp. I am thinking the hardware on the bus will be a QNAP-HS251 connected to a MBR1400 wireless router using the XBMC/Kodi media server. The media sever should recognize the passengers device and have the appropriate download available to stream the media to their device. This process needs to be easy for the passenger.
