Create a Mobile Website

We want to develope a computer-based transportation matchmaking network service that provides to travellers a medium where private car owners and public travellers, travelling toward the same destination can share their travel cost. Thus provides a break on transportation cost load, by linking the private car owners and the travellers with the introduction of a faster, cheaper and reliable means of transport. The system will help car owners / drivers to publish their travel plan using the mobile/web application and the vistors or other members can join the travel by paying a suggested fee. A robust engine will be designed to take care of fare calculation based on several parameters: • The model of the car • Years it has been in use Car Share calculates energy consumption of the car for the distance covered for a specific trip. This energy consumption is then allocated as a relative transport cost for each of the four passenger’s seats plus driver’s seat. Here are some few features we expect on both applications: • Both application should be running on Real Time and on a cloud server so that we can track the location of everyone currently traveling through their mobile devices on a google map where users can simple click a marker on the map representing a user and open up a pop up chat window on the map. • Users should be able to check the progress of their journey on Real Time getting thei current location, distance traveled and distance left to reach their destination. • Public travelers(passengers) should be able to rate the car owner they traveled with and like wise the car owner should be able to rate the public travelers. • All users should be able to see their traveling history and read about the fitback and rateings of the users.
