Need to extract data from an existing MS SQL database and then manipulate the data to produce a CSV file.
There are only 4 fields returned in the SQL data example :
00694 Wood David Wood Jenny Wood
00744 Aird Robert Aird
00760 Howard Andrew Howard Natalie Howard
02530 Vu Cuong Vu Lan Chau
I need to have the csv file output from the above example to be converted to this :
David Wood,Wood,David,David Wood, David Wood,<random>,00694
Jenny Wood,Wood,Jenny,Jenny Wood, Jenny Wood,<random>,00694
Cuong Vu,Vu,Cuong,Cuong Vu,Coung Vu,<random>,02530
Lan Chau,Chau,Lan Chau,Lan Chau,<random>,02530
The important example is the last one (Lan Chau and Cuong Vu) where the first name in the returned data has a different sn value to the second item.
Additionally the random password to be generated needs to be upper and lowercase letters and include numbers. Not to be less than 6 characters and no greater than 8 characters.
The SQL query to retreive the data :
SELECT parent.par_code, [url removed, login to view], parent.f_name, parent.m_name
FROM [url removed, login to view] parent
WHERE (parent.cmpy_code='01') AND (parent.status_flg='c') AND ([url removed, login to view] > [doe_data])
The connection string :
DSN=TASS;UID=<XXXXX>;APP=2007 Microsoft Office system;WSID=USERNAME;DATABASE=tass;Network=DBMSSOCN;UseProcForPrepare=0
The completed application needs to take the username and password for the SQL connection at runtime.
Additionally the application needs to have options to set the [url removed, login to view] parameter which is a date in the format of DDMMYYYY.
