Our client requires a custom wordpress site with logistics plugin.
The logistics system requires a database for recording shipments.
There are about 35~40 data fields for one shipment. However different output view will need to be made for different users.
Frontend will have quick tracking form on home page. Customers can login to view their own info and current/past shipments. The customer shipment view will only use about 20 fields not all 35~40 fields.
Backend will have 3~5 different views, first will be master view which shows all fields and other views will only use some fields, but all views will be able to edit the fields they can see.
We also need a shipment progress file parser. The shipment progress file will be provided by a third-party company on their FTP site. We need to download the files periodically and parse the data from the progress file and record in database. So another table is required for recording shipment progress. Developer with x12 EDI experience is a big plus.
