asp.net force file download problem

This web site is made with asp.net vb with the use of dreamweavers asp.net capabilities.

It also contains vb code aswell...

Web site has passworded area which has a force pdf download section. The path of the pdf file being downloaded is hidden to the user for security reasons.

A coder form RAC has worked on the project but after releasing the funds he refused to correct some bugs that we found.

So we are looking for a coder who can evaluate? the previous work done and fix the bugs for us.

we have two major problems:

1-when a user request one of the pdf files, download dialog box appears and download starts. The problem is that acrobat says? that it's a damaged file. (but the file on server is not damaged.)

The download pages are:? [url removed, login to view] and [url removed, login to view]

2-pdf files are being uploaded by a user with the use of a upload form.

after the upload thumbnails of the uploaded pdfs first page is generated.

The problem is this thumb generation is not working always. (maybe its not working for certain kind of pdf files)
