* I would like to build a web page reader for Hindi. The idea is to allow a user to pass text to my Hindi TTS system in a controlled way and listen to the speech output. The TTS is available as a client server system. The client is a C++ class with a few simple functions. Client and server talk to each other using Sun RPC.
* My initial idea is to create a browser plug-in (preferably Firefox) that will insert mouse-over listeners on every line of text in a given web page.
* I want to the plug in to create a modified version of the HTML, which has mouse-over listeners for every line of text. The plug in should be able to handle frames as well. Ordinary text (non hyper linked text) should get highlighted on a mouse-over. On clicking a highlighted text an HTTP request should go to a web server (it would be nice if this can be through Ajax). Links should be treated differently. Since clicking a link will change the page, a link should get read out on mouse-over itself (as against ordinary text which has mouse-over for highlight(select) and click for read out).
