Animated smileys in a flash based chat component

Hello, I would like to use smileys in a flash based chat application. I found this component which seems great for what I need but it doesn’t handle well html text. Please go to this page to see what I mean: <[login to view URL]> If you enter this text “This is a sample :) smiley?? the smiley is placed correctly, in the middle of the phrase. But if you enter this text “<font color='#cc0000'>This is a sample :) smiley</font>??, the smiley is no longer placed correctly. I think that’s because the component is not able to ignore the html code when computing the smileys coordinates. It should ignore the <font> tag, which is invisible to the user anyway. Now what I need is: - A complete working textfield or chat component which is able to handle both plain text and html text (I need html text to be able to specify different colors for different users. If there is another way to set the color of the text for each line individually I would be interested in that too). Also, it would be good that the chat component would allow html links which when clicked would fire some ActionScript function. For ex.: in a chat room each line of text begins with a nickname like this: “**_nickname_**: some text typed by nickname??. when user clicks the nickname, some flash function or at least js function would be called. If you can provide a link to a website which sells such a component I would pay for this information as well. Please note that the chat component must be able to handle animated smileys, that is smileys must be added to the chat area as movie clips.
