Hi, I have been developing websites with Joomla since 2008, I also reviewed your current website and definitely Joomla will allow you to replicate the design and functionality of your site. Joomla is widely used so it won't be a problem finding freelancers here or elsewhere for future developments or maintenance and upgrades. In order to add all the benefits you ention, like multiple access rights for various use types as well as automatic emails I would suggest an add-on to Joomla called Seblod. It's free and very flexible. I'm not too familiar with the hosting companies located specifically in Australia, however here in the US I would recommend Pacifichost. They combine low price and great support. They also provide a variety of tools like one click clone, backup and restore that work under softaculous. As a freelancer I have worked on a wide array of hosting providers and that's definitely my favorite. So if you don't want a hosting provider that's based in the US, an Australian provider that offers softaculous could be an option. Do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions.
