I am in the process of developing an adware application that is written in Java which is close to completion. The application will be packaged as an exe which will be downloaded when the user visits the client's website. The application can also be made to appear as an image file or be bundled with other applications. The application will then download itself and other files onto the user's computer and write itself to the registry to run next time windows starts up. A parallel application will also run at startup checking periodically to see if the application or any of it's files have been altered or deleted and re-download the app. The application will also make changes to the registry to make it difficult to totally remove the app from the system.
The core of the application is a proxy server which routes all browser traffic. The app works with all major browsers including IE, Chrome, Firefox and Safari. The app can thus record and manipulate all requests made by the browser and responses to create popups, invisible popups, redirect to other sites or replace or alter webpage content to display content that we want to. A log is made of all sites visited by the user. The app will also record all emails used by the user and can be used to send emails with links on behalf of the user to his contacts on Gmail, Hotmail and Yahoo. The app will from time to time download target actions from the client's server and also upload all app activity to the client's database.
It will also have a full featured control panel for the adware that reports tracked ips, geo graphical location, full log of browser activity, user agents, can block off ranges and scrape Facebook/email accounts to get demographics.
The app will be packaged as a standalone application with no dependencies and will run as an invisible windows service. I can give you the fully functional software in a month. Seeking prospective buyers. I can demo a functional early prototype to serious bidders.
(P.S: Most of the functionality is very similar to a parental control software. So, you can also brand it as parental control software minus the ads and with a different reporting interface.)
