ACT! 6.0 / 2005

This request is for a portion of code only, to perform a function in Symantec/Best Software ACT! 6.0 and 2005. In ACT you can attach a file (link to a file) to a contact history - the attachment appears with a link to the file, date, time and the file name in the regarding field by default. I need to pass string with the attachment to the regarding field to replace the filename string the application defaults (this may require making the attachment and then editing the regarding field for the same entry). The snippet of code would use the available ACT! COM interfaces to change the description of an attached file (the Regarding field)(Reference ACT! 6.0 SDK). The language/dev env should be VC++ 6.0/VB 6.0/Borland C++ Builder 6. NOTE: Since it is not possible to add a file with a custom "regarding" field, the code would probably attach a file, then search for it in the ACT! database, retrieve it, and change the desired field." A functional demo is required (make a small exe which attaches a selected file to the open contact, change the attachment's regarding field to "Attachment regarding field has changed!!!") Thank you. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased.
