I would like to have a custom Internet Explorer bar built.
Functions Needed:
Selectable search engine queries:
This should be populated from a text file that can be pulled from a website incase search engine syntax changes or new engines need to be added.
Custom buttons for advertising:
These buttons will more than likely be static, but it will also need to be updatable from the web incase advertisers change. These buttons (small 20x20 icons) will do nothing more than open a specified URL.
updatable:
Clicking the update button will download the latest search engine list as well as a list of advertisers URLS from a remote webserver. I would also like to be able to download icons and change the icons shown on the toolbar when the URLs change. I'm not talking about a banner, just a small 20x20 icon that the users will click on to open the corrisponding URL.
Drop down menu lists:
We will need a drop downmenu, much like the google toolbar. A small logo, that when clicked will show more options such as update option, etc. We will add more options to the list once it is handed over to us.
Also, this will need to be written in visual basic 6 as that is what we are most familiar with, please try and document as you go, we will be making more changes to menu's etc when you are finished.
Also, complete instuctions on the GUID's, registry values, etc needed to make the toolbar run. We will need full rights and access to all source once the project is completed.
