automate data driven graphics

Automate the creation of data driven graphics in Excel or Access. Source data will vary but the data structure in each case will always be the same and differ only in the number of items. Graphs need to be scatterplots and data for each item consists of an X,Y coordinate, an item number that uniquely identifies the item, item text that is unique, group number and multiple labels for the group number. The will be multiple group solutions. The number of solutions can be fixed at a lower number and higher number if the coder requires this for developing the solution. Menu options should include plots that include a plot of all points, points labeled by group and a plot of the labels that overlays any of the graphs. Minimum requirement is menu driven creation of graphics. Menu driven options should provide the ability to choose the type of graph to view on the screen and the ability to print or copy the active graph. Also required is the ability to view, print and copy predefined reports of the data that supports the active graph. Desired but not required is for additional interactivity with the graphics using point and click with a mouse such that when the mouse cursor is on the graph, a right click pops up a menu that provides a choice of showing the detail of the graph. All graphs should able to be copied and pasted into PowerPoint. In PowerPoint the graph’s elements are converted and ungrouped so that these can be further manipulated by hand so that additional documentation can be added or elements of the images manipulated. Interaction with powerpoint is NOT required by this project. Document the code so that this tool can be enhanced at a future date. I have additional data for the items that require a different graphic and this will be a follow-on project that needs to be integrated within the same tool. This seems like an application for VBA but I defer to the coders advice at this point. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement). ## Platform Source data is from SPSS or Excel. Tools needs to be in Excel on windows probably using VBA.
