To implement and design a visual basic application that realises 3 user authentication approaches in each case the program will perform 2 tasks profiling and authentication;
[login to view URL] password authentication (like hotmail) the user must enter a password of at least 8 characters, the user must enter it twice, the program should ensure the two entries match before excepting the [login to view URL] user must enter a password and the program must it matches the value stored in the profile. The password characters should be disguised.
2. associative responses- providing responses to a series of keywords based upon word association, different users would have different responses e.g. blue provokes words like sky, sea crayon etc. The user must be prompted to enter associative responses to 12 keywords of your [login to view URL] program should select 3 of the profiled keywords at random and ask the user to provide the associative [login to view URL] order to be sucessful the user must provide correct responses to all 3 keywords and the program must check thy do so, no duplicates.
3. Image based pin-users select a series of images in the correct [login to view URL] user must be presented with 40 icon size images and be asked to select 5 of them remembering the [login to view URL] 5 have been chosen the user should confirm they are happy with the choice and the program should store details of the images chosen and there [login to view URL] user must then be presented with the 40 images again and be asked to select their previous choices. The program must compare the selection against the stored details in the profile.
TWO executable programs should be produced- the profiler which collects the authentication data in the first instance and the authenticator which checks the users against their stored profile.
the authentication details gathered by the profiler should be stored in a text file.
at the end of the authentication process the user must be presented with information telling them how many out of the 3 they got right.
code must include comments at appropriate points to explain proceedures.
