This project is for converting a PHP-based recipe site into a wordpress-powered website, making full use of custom post types
The project consist of:
- recipes
- ingredients (each of them has an individual page that is linked from, from the recipe page)
- containers for the recipe (each of them has an individual page that is linked from, from the recipe page, and an image)
The website's URL will be given via PM, and I need it to work exactly as it is working now, with the following requirements:
- Users should be able to search for all the recipes containing their combination of ingredients (including ALL OF THESE ingredients or AT LEAST ONE OF THESE ingredients)
- Users should be able to login and have their own "favorites" page where they can see their favorite recipes
- Recipes should be easily printable from the recipe-showing page
- There should be a conversion mechanism from imperial to metric, and a way to adjust the serving sizes and have ingredients automatically change
- It is paramount that after the conversion all old links work and are automatically 301 redirected to the new (SEO-friendly) links
It is strongly adviced that you only apply if you have a good grasp of both PHP, Wordpress and Wordpress plugin development
Please note: I am looking for a long term relationship, if you're particularly good, please state it and explain why, and we'll probably cooperate with future projects as well
This sound like an interesting project and one I would be interested in completing. Would love to see the current site and make some preliminary recommendations on porting over to Wordpress.
I have extensive experience with custom post types, use of custom meta data as well as custom taxonomies to create discreet data elements, improve usability of websites,, and design unique post/page edit forms in parallel with displays for end user. Please see private message for examples!
Thanks
Mike
