Customized Ares Application (739854)

Ares is an open source Peer to Peer application. The ares official homepage is: [url removed, login to view] It's development homepage is: [url removed, login to view] **This Project's objective is to modify the most recent STABLE version of the Ares source code to:** * Allow user to set more than 25 consecutive uploads (which is the current limit). We would like to allow it to be set to 999 or an unlimited number of uploads at a time. * Allow multiple instance of the Ares application to run on Windows at one time. * Add a setting that allows the application to bind to a specific hardware IP address. * Save settings to a settings file or folder inside the Ares application folder. This will allow us to copy the Ares application folder several times and have different settings for each copy of the application. (Don't know where it currently save the settings to) * Change file hasing process to check number of files and skip hashing if same # of files exist and just use existing hash values. (Currently file hashing uses a lot of cpu and runs every time application is started) Ares is programmed in Borland Delphi. It is an asset if you have previous experience with Borland Delphi. 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.

2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables):

a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment.

b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.

3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).
