This app should be able to calculate distance between any 2 co-ordinates, as well as calculate sunrise and sunset as well as moon phase for any given location, using timezones, daylight saving. A data base that contains a few towns, cities, regions and countries from around the world, with the ability to update and add places to the data base, is needed. Very important: This app should not display any graphical stuff whatsoever. All the info should be displayed in a normal win32 edit field. This goes for the user interface, the menus, etc. No graphical maps required. This program must rely 100% on keyboard input from the user, with all the info displayed in plain text.
## Deliverables
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows? (depending on the nature? of the deliverables):
a)? For web sites or? other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment.
b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software? installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.
3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).
Some specifications about the program:
When the program loads, the user must be able to select a function, e.g.:
Calculate distance
Add location
Exit.
If the user selects "calculate distance", he/she must be presented with a combobox, containing a "from" option, and a "too" option.
In the "from" option, there must be a list box from which a country can be selected.
Another list box displaying towns and cities is where the user should select the town or city.
In the "too" option, the very same lay-out as in the "from" option, should appear.
Then there must be a calculate button, that when pressed, the distance in either miles or kilometers are calculated and displayed, together with sunrise, and sunset times for each location.
Add location:
This option should provide the user with different edit fields where the name of a town/city/region can be typed, as well as co-ordinates, time zone, and the ability to check or uncheck the "daylight saving" option.
Of course there should be at least a "save" button, that when pressed, will save the info the user just typed in the respective edit fields, to the greater data base of countries and cities.
