I have a custom built Wordpress membership plugin that I can no longer use but would like to keep some of its functionality. It has a email subscription/sign-up popup with thickbox that interfaces with infusionsoft that I want to keep, and add additional functionality. The added functionality needed is to create a shortcode or some other way in which I can launch the sign-up popup box by a text or image link.
The popup collects email address and name and directly interfaces with the infusionsoft via api calls. It is used to collect information of people who want to subscribe to a newsletter. I have not found a 3rd party plugin that can do this in such a nifty fashion so I'd like to salvage it.
I'd like all the membership specific and other code that is not needed for the functionality of the sign-up box to be removed ( as much as is possible). The plugin should just be about an infusionsoft newsletter sign-up popup. I've trimmed out much of the membership code already but there is more that I didn't touch.
In summary:
1.) Strip out code that's not needed or may cause trouble.
2.) Add a shortcode to launch sign-up popup.
